Editorial guidelines

These editorial guidelines apply from 2024

Double-Blind Review Process

All submitted manuscripts are first assessed by an editor who determines whether the manuscript is suitable for peer review. Manuscripts deemed appropriate for further evaluation are sent to two or more independent experts in the relevant field. These reviewers are asked to highlight the manuscript’s general and specific strengths and weaknesses.

The journal applies a double-blind peer review process, ensuring that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the entire review procedure. Reviewers are encouraged to provide constructive feedback — that is, to identify both the general and specific strengths and weaknesses of the manuscript — even in cases where the manuscript is not recommended for publication.

Editorial Decision

Based on the reviewers’ reports, the editor formulates a recommendation regarding whether the manuscript should be accepted or rejected. The final responsibility for the publication decision rests with the journal’s editor-in-chief, who makes the definitive decision on publication.
