Comparing fractions is considered one of the most challenging areas in mathematics education at the primary school level, for both students and teachers. At the same time, a solid understanding of fractions is essential for grasping more advanced mathematical concepts such as proportionality, percentages, and algebra. This study investigates how a structured teaching project, grounded in research-informed strategies, can foster the development of both teachers’ instructional practices and students’ conceptual understanding of fractions.
